Hee hee! So many of you have written in to ask who Lolly is – I assume you are asking because so many moms are signing their name as …(Lolly Girl)!
Well Lolly is an amazing antenatal yoga teacher who teaches moms how to strenghten muscles needed for delivery. Lolly has been doing this for many years and is regarded as a Guru. Many celebrities attend her classes when they are expecting, which is why she is very low key and doesn’t advertise! She is based in Notting Hill and you only get to know about Lolly if a friend tells you, a bit like me really.
Lolly’s yoga classes are very popular but Lolly is keen on keeping the classes small and intimate, so that the ladies attending, are comfortable and able to build bonds with other expectant moms.
I love the atmosphere. Before moms arrive, Lolly sprinkles lavender on her hands and then walks around the room – smells great and is sooo relaxing. Then there is tea and biscuit time, just enough for everybody to calm down after a crazy day of working, dealing with traffic or public transport.
If you are expecting a baby and are hoping for a natural delivery, attending one of Lolly Stirk’s yoga classes is an ABSOLUTE MUST!
From time to time, she will invite professionals, such as myself to pop in and talk to the class. When I pop in, we go through the basics of breastfeeding and then answer some questions.
The last great thing about Lolly, is that she is a true South African. Warm, kind, friendly, motherly…and very fit – everything you would hope for in the person preparing you for the birth of your baby. Moms love her so much they come back to her classes with each new bump!
If you would like to attend Lolly’s class, just drop me a line. As I said, due to Lolly’s clientele, she does not disclose the class address.
Now you know who Lolly is and how to get hold of her if needed.
Much love,
Geraldine
