Let's Breastfeed

What is the most exciting thing you have ever done with your breast milk?

I was just having a look at some breastfeeding articles yesterday and came across an article called ‘Breastfeeding Recipes’.

I was expecting the usual array of teas and foods that one can take to increase supply, but what I found was actaully something a little different – but fun none the less.

The article gave step by step instructions to make breast milk butter, breast milk soap and all sorts of other things. I was in a hurry, so didn’t copy down the details and annoyngly, I can’t find it again this morning.

Breast milk has so many healing and wonderful properties, I am not surprised that people are finding new creative ways to use it, but I am not to sure how my granny or friends would feel about me swaping my Molton Brown hand wash for a little breast milk bar in the bathroom or kitchen.

The butter thing could be handy though, how many times have you dashed into the shop to grab the essentails and forgotten the butter? I have many times and all you have to do to make butter is put some expressed milk in a jar with a lid and shake…..until your milk turns to butter!

Give it a try and let me know how it tastes and will will continue looking for the article..with the current credict crunch and Christmas around the corner, it may just come in handy! :)
