My milk is so watery – how will baby ever get to the hind milk?
Have you noticed that your milk has suddenly become more dilute? Well you are not the only one!
Your milk will change its composition in response to changes that you encounter..remember, breastmilk is a living fluid and will vary in volume and composition from the beginning of the day to the end of the day.
As we are enjoying a nice bout of sunshine here in the UK, you body knows that your little one will need more fluid to remain hydrated in the hot weather, so it will become more dilute!
You may find that your baby wants to feed or ‘snack’ more frequently — so just go with it!! This is no time to be introducing routines or strict feeding patterns – just think how desperate you would feel is somebody witheld water from you in this heat..not good.
