Let's Breastfeed

Managing summer time change!

If your baby gets up early, you may be quite happy that that 6am wake up call, is now a very reasonable 7am wake up call. But how will this affect your routine and feeding times?

Don’t worry too much about getting the timings of your routine right today, just follow your normal pattern as if the clocks have not gone forward.

You can start breastfeeding a little earlier at each feed, so that by the end of your day, you are back to feeding and bathing at the same time as you normally would.

Or you can just tweak the end of the day like this routine below…..

If you normally feed at 7am, 10am 1 pm, 4pm, then a split feed at 6pm – bath – 7pm, your day will look something like this:
feed at 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm (bath 6pm) 7pm – and you are back onto your routine.

See what works for you and your baby. Whichever way you decide to manipulate your day, it will all come right within a few days.

Wishing you success and happy feeding!
